Athren had been back in his gravity chamber with his super saiyan form enabled once more, his training dummy was activated and he was wearing his Super Heavy Training Weights again, along with that his gravitron was activated to one hundred and twenty five times Earth's gravity. He was ready to go for another bout of training now that he took a small break and his stomach was full. This training session was all about sensing Ki from the outside world, from everybody who wasn't currently with him. Though there was going to be a little bit of a twist, he'd do it while in combat with his training dummy. He didn't need to be super focused to pull this off, he already knew how to sense somebody's Ki, all he needed to do was dive in a little bit deeper into their souls and now that he had Spirit Control mastered, he knew exactly how to do it. He had reached deep down into his own Spirit to figure himself out and unlock new abilities, now this one was about reaching into everybody's spirits.
Though the distraction of the training dummy would add some fun, it'd also put a little bit of pressure on him to retain focus but then again, that was the fun part of this little game he was developing for himself. It had been so long since training was fun for him, he remembered a time when it's purpose was just training, it wasn't to achieve what had seemed like an impossible task, it was just for him. Lately, it had seemed to be for the mission and his kids, his friends, and everybody who died in Orange City. He was doing it for everybody and the weight of that had made it so much heavier, less fun, and a lot more stressful. This training session? He'd try to forget about all of that, all of the external needs and motivation for his training would be buried below his simple desire to have a little bit of fun, which was just as important as improving upon his Ki sense.
The Demon-Saiyan hybrid really needed an opportunity to have a little bit of fun and de-stress and this was his moment. Before he got the ball rolling with the training dummy itself, he'd focus on all the surrounding energies around him. Pybara being the most prominent target on Yardrat for him to focus on. Pybara's power level itself was one of the biggest and easiest on Yardrat to focus on, even while it was suppressed. That would give Athren the perfect individual to focus on until he could break through Pybara's suppression and really sense him still.
Athren focused on Pybara and took his stance, waiting for the training dummy to rush in and it did just that. Athren kind of liked this idea, distracting fighting? Hell, it was something new and gave him more of a purpose. Quickly the training dummy closed the gap, launching its fist towards Athren and with ease, he threw a single punch to match it. The POP from their fists colliding let out a little shock wave that rocked the ship in its entirety, though that didn't make Athren hesitate even for a second! He quickly countered and threw his own punch, only for the training dummy to dip and weave out of the way and throw a low blow towards his stomach.
Quickly Athren shifted his body to the side, avoiding being collided with from the incoming strike to his stomach and while he did this, he found himself still multitasking, still trying to break through Pybara's suppression. He could sense him on the other side of the Planet, the furthest point away from him on this world. Athren knew where he was, he sensed him as clear as day but that's all he could do. He couldn't get any specific information, he couldn't identify how strong Pybara was in comparison to himself. He already knew that Pybara was much weaker than he was, but he needed to confirm it using his Ki sense and there wasn't anything else he'd settle for. He needed this.
The fight continued as the training dummy went in for a headbutt and Athren couldn't help but match it once more, sending another shock wave throughout the ship and rattling it further, Athren kept up the fight and kept trying to breach his masters Ki suppression. Athren needed to get a read on him, absolutely had to! Keeping the fight going, Athren launched a quick right, left, and right combination of punches. The training dummy had blocked the first two rather effortlessly and then dodged the last one elegantly. It was enough to get Athren's blood pumping, even if it weren't a real opponent. This advanced training dummy really did wonders and he was still so grateful that one of the Yardrats was capable of bringing this thing back to life, giving it more of a purpose, giving it the edge to keep Athren invested in sparring with it! It surely made a difference and almost made Athren's day, it was his only source of him time on this planet, it providing him with the closest feeling of being himself and without it, it'd be easy to assume he'd get lost on this planet and lose all sight of who he truly was, even with the giant casted shadow of the tragedy that he had just faced on Earth.
There was something about taking hits and throwing punches that made Athren feel alive, it didn't really matter who or what the opponent was as long as it could keep up with him to a certain degree. Now he never expected this training dummy to keep up to him fully, but it did relieve the itch and make him feel alive. The blows kept being exchanged, back and forth and with Athren's distracted mind, the training dummy actually started to get a few hits in.
